Just back from tasting the 2019s at Domaine Dujac with Jeremy Seysses – a magnificent tour of this delightful vintage, and a treat to taste the bottled wines.
The trip from Nuits-Saint-Georges to Morey-Saint-Denis was rainy, to say the least (raining hogs and pigs), and Brompton was both dirty and wet. It has been quite a wet year in Burgundy so far.
On the trip back, however, the beautiful sun and the fresh, vivid air confirmed again that bicycles are the perfect way to see the vineyards.
I am always stunned by the view from Musigny, overlooking Flagey-Echezeaux, Vosne, and even Nuits-Saint-Georges in the distance.
