It is always a treat to visit Nicolas Groffier and taste his line-up of beautiful wines. Groffier has gone from strength to strength over recent years, and the 2022 vintage adds to this run of delightful wines.
A lot can be (and has been) said about this estate and its prominent wines; see these previous articles:

Groffier has entered the major leagues, where wines are increasingly costly. That said, the wines’ increasing quality matches the rise in prices.
I put that thesis to the test with the 2022s, and so, to the notes. The Groffier ’22s were tasted on January 17.
Domaine Robert Groffier Bourgogne Rouge 2022
The Bourgogne Rouge is, as always, showing very well. Two-thirds of the fruit is from vineyards below the Clos de Vougeot, and the wine is lovely and generous. Open and forward, it is delicately light-footed. It’s on the cooler side with the phenolics, but there is still a certain generosity. The extraction is moderate, and perfectly judged given the ripeness level.
