Jacqueline Collardot and her son Matthieu run the small Puligny estate Thomas-Collardot.
I visit this estate quite often – as I like the wines and the people. This is sort of reminds me of the times when Burgundy was less stressed and commercial. Big thx to Matthieu and Jacqueline for the generosity and hospitality.
The Thomas-Collardot wines are generous without being opulent, and they give a clear expression of their individual terroirs. There is quite a difference in character between the vineyards below Puligny-Montrachet and the Blagny 1er Cru, with its special, cool note and holds another place in the culinary world.
The wines offer pleasurable drinking when young, and are for medium-term cellaring – between five and ten years. I do not see these wines improving by being cellared for 20 or 30 years, but who knows?

For some background regarding the estate, check out my articles regarding the 2017 vintage. The 2016 article includes a small presentation of the estate – see this article.
The 2024s at Domaine Thomas-Collardot
The 2024 whites are cool and pretty classic, and this suits the Thomas-Collardot style very well indeed.
The wines are energetic and vivid with a lovely acidic backbone … classic with a lovely tension and energy.
Could well be one of my favourite vintages from Thomas-Collardot. This is a lovely estate moving steadily forward, making better and better wines.

Tasting the 2024s from Domaine Thomas-Collardot
I had the opportunity to taste the full line-up of 2024s, from the Bourgogne Aligoté to the top village lieu-dit Les Enseignères and the two 1ers Crus, Puligny-Montrachet Hameau de Blagny and Les Folatières.
Domaine Thomas-Collardot Bourgogne Aligoté 2024
The Bourgogne Aligoté 2024 is vivid and fresh with a lovely core of acidity. It’s more energetic and focused than the previous vintages of the Thomas-Collardot Aligoté … I really like this vintage. Perfect with oysters naturel.

Domaine Thomas-Collardot Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Beaune 2024
The Hautes Côtes is cool and vivid … the perfect match for the Collardot style. The 2024 is a perfect match for seafood and light poultry dishes. A delightful glass.

Domaine Thomas-Collardot Bourgogne Blanc 2024
Due to low yields in the lower parts of Puligny-Montrachet, the Bourgogne blancs have been assembled in one cuvée. This cuvée has a classical Puligny hint … delightful freshness in 2024. Lovely for lighter dishes or even as an aperitif. A wine of pleasure.

Domaine Thomas-Collardot Puligny Montrachet 2024
Due to low yields in the lower parts of Puligny-Montrachet village wines, Thomas-Collardot has assembled the lesser village wines in one cuvée. The three terroirs – “Les Houlières”, “Au Paupillot”, “Derrière la Velle” – are in this blended cuvée. This cuvée has a classical Puligny hint … delightful freshness in 2024. Lovely for lighter dishes or even as an aperitif.

Domaine Thomas-Collardot Puligny Montrachet “La Rue aux Vaches” 2024
A classic Puligny village from the middle section just north of Enseignères. It’s powerful yet elegant … wow, what a treat. I love the balancing acidity and the coolness. Love the 2024s.

Domaine Thomas-Collardot Puligny Montrachet Nosroyes 2024
The Nosroyes is a brilliant village … not quite reaching the level of my beloved Enseignères. The 2024 is refined and delicate with a very nice acidic backbone – a true hedonistic treat. Phenolics are perfect, and we got this almost silky ripeness … Turbut s’il vous plait.

Domaine Thomas-Collardot Puligny-Montrachet Hameau de Blagny 2024
The Puligny-Montrachet Hameau de Blagny is a 1er Cru – not surprisingly from the Blagny area – located above the southern part of Puligny-Montrachet. A cool area – in a cool vintage creates a very refined and delicate wine – quite unusual for the Hameau de Blagny. The Blagny is very lively and has an unusual tension for this area … a great surprise … the lobster is waiting.

Domaine Thomas-Collardot Puligny-Montrachet Les Enseignères 2024
The Puligny Enseignères is one of my favourite wines from Thomas-Collardot. It is, as always, a wonderfully balanced and airy wine. It has a very expressive, mineral character and a tremendous mineral core. A lovely wine with a fine appeal … give me some spaghetti vongole please. This has a special place in my heart – ever since my first visit to the Thomas-Collardot estate.
