Like Batman I take on my boots, my long shorts and my biker t-shirts to spin the Burgundy world a little bit more every day. I do this because I love great Burgundies and realise that advice is personal … from me to you! So I need to know!

Some people think I am not critical enough … to this I say look at my ratings … and I don’t even taste all of the poor wines Jasper, Allen, Neal and William have to endure and rate politely.

My advice is – Listen to yourself; Use your own palate and the Winehog vin d`émotion inspiration! Believe me – the last part will become even more important in a future with even more global warming.

Winehog give you the knowledge and tools … and the Winehog mindset to choose for yourself … I see too many people spending fortunes in restaurants chasing points and fame without getting the essential pleasure and joy.

Burgundy has never been abundant to me, I still remember the bottles of DRCs I have acquired and tasted … and with whom I enjoyed them …

I know to pick my wines on the wine lists – out of necessity and lack of money to pay the astronomical amounts for a Grand Cru – that will ruin me today, Money is definitely not everything with Burgundy … far from actually.

Spending 500 EUR, 1000 EUR or even more does not guarantee you a great experience … your need to know or at least to consult someone who knows!

I therefore as something new offer a new service to the busy and quality crazy Burgundy drinkers … who want to get the best choice from the wine list … where I advice on the selection of wine … at the very evening and even on the spot …

I have clients that don’t have time to study the advice of wine writers … but are fully capable for enjoying and understanding a great Burgundy when its served … but the time to prepare and set up the dinner is always scarce in a busy business world.

But now you can contact me to get advice to your wine pick … the principle is simple contact me “preferably in advance” with the names of the wines … and I will do my utmost to advice.

The service is operational for dinner in Asia, lunch and dinner Europe and finally lunch US … for a limited amount of clients.

CET 11:00 to CET 22:00 … and since it is me/myself/the Winehog … I am not 100% available … but think of me like your good wines friend … whom you can ask if wanted and needed.

Winehog … and my set of values

A great Burgundy should for me always be an occasion … a festive enjoying with friends or truly loved ones.

Drinking the best wines should to me always involve an element of exploring … the producer, the vineyard, the cuvée and the vintage and the level of maturity … its the intellectual part of enjoying a wine

This what I do … this is what I communicate … and try to bring forward to you as a wine drinker and connoisseur.

I try to let you in on my experiences from the harvest … from the visits … from the tastings … to enlarge your appreciation of the wines.

I take you on a journey … on trips and tastings in Burgndy – more to come on this – my havest experiences … with or without hard work.

This is why Winehog is different, this is why I primarily taste wines that I like, and leave the wines of the heavier and darker sides of Nuits or Beaune to other tasters.

I know that I could presumably earn a lot more money making tastings in Hong-Kong or Mainland China, and while my brain tells me this – my hearth is still happy here being in Burgnundy.

To understand Burgundy fully you should embrace the region … Bourgogne … visit eat and drink it … do it with me if you need help … I know the places and they know me.

Winehog is a con amore project … that I need to live from … and while I need the money …. I hate setting up a payment wall surrounding the full website. This could well be the future solution … but I prefer you join me voluntary with a smile.
