The 2011 whites should not be overlooked – especially not if they come from Darviot-Perrin. His Meursault Clos de la Velle, is a delightfully pure and fresh wine. In the bouquet fresh and vibrant white and yellow fruits .. pure, quite refined and racy – offering a lovely minerality. On the palate fresh and vibrant for the vintage, with a lovely acidity and focus. Really like the fine acidity and the good expression of terroir for this level. A lovely Meursault village – I’m quite delighted.
