The Clos de Vougeot 2004 from Confuron was open and ready to enjoy. In the bouquet red fruits – raspberries and strawberries, and some notes of green pepper (found in many 2004s). On the palate also open and accessible, with sweet matured fruit. Like many 2004s slightly onedimensional in the fruit. Not a lot of minerality and terroir, but still a pleasent wine – a very good effort from Confuron.
(Drink from 2014) Very Good – 89p
