The Pol Gardere Brut from Champagne Gardet is a quite pleasent surprise. In the bouquet yellow fruit, white bread with notes hazelnuts and citrus. On the palate light to medium-bodied with a good pure fruit. Some matured notes, with a bit of fruity smoothness and a good vinous caracter for a Champagne at this price level. Not very complex or focused – but actually taste like it’s made from wine … and not just some random grape juice. Quite a pleasure!
