Jean-Noel Gagnard, Chassagne Morgeot 1er cru 2008

By Steen Öhman July 23, 2012 -

The Chassagne Montrachet Morgeot from Jean-Noel Gagnard is a classic white Burgundy. In the nose fine chardonney fruit, with notes of citrus, almonds, acacia and a hint of exotic orchard fruits. On the palate very fine and crisp acidity, a very good midpalate concentration with lovely crisp fruit. …

Philippe Pacalet, Pommard 1er cru 2011

By Steen Öhman July 22, 2012 -

The Pommard 1. cru is somewhat darker than the other Pacalet reds. In the nose raspberries, black cherries with notes of strawberries, peppar and cinnamon. On the palate a darker expression of the fruit with a more tannins. A more muscular and less refined wine, but still a very good wine. Very …

By Steen Öhman July 21, 2012 -

The 1999 Morey-Saint-Denis 1er cru fom Hubert Lignier is an old school Lignier - dark, slightly rustic, pure and with a good terroir expression. In the nose mostly dark fruits, liquorice, and hints of tar. On the palate quite lush, rich and dense dark fruit. Nicely structured with good acidity and a …

Philippe Pacalet, Nuits Saint Georges 1. cru 2011

By Steen Öhman July 20, 2012 -

The NSG 1. cru is another beautiful wine. In the bouquet strawberries, raspberries and cherries, spized with a hint of pommegranate and cinnamon. On the palate fine delicate pinot flavors, with a fine depth in the fruit. Perhaps not as delicate and refined as the Chambolle 1er cru, but a lovely …
