The 1935 Clos de Vougeot from Barolet is a quite austere wine. In the Bouquet it' was showing mature dark fruit but is lacking some complexity and depth. The Clos de Vougeot 2002 from Meo still have some way to go before it's ready to drink. Still quite a lot of toasted oak in the bouquet. Some mature sweet notes also, but still way to much oak. Very good concentration and fine ripe pinot fruit, but the oak flavors are masking the terroir at the …
