Meursault

Domaine Antoine Jobard, Meursault Genevrieres 2008

By Steen Öhman October 1, 2012 -

The Meursault Genevrieres 2008 from Antoine Jobard is very open and almost jumping out the glass. In the bouquet still some exotic orchard fruits - mango, white peach and pear. The nose also offers a excellent minerality, slight hints of matchstick and oak. On the palate lovely acidity and a …

Philippe Pacalet, Meursault 2011

By Steen Öhman August 25, 2012 -

The Meursault 2011 is a quite a heavy and "hot" wine. In the nose apple, pear with citrus aromas. On the palate quite dense ripe fruit, the acidity is fine, but the quite high alcohol content is also present in the finish. I'm really not happy about high alcohol burgundies, and this is a borderline …

Domaine Bernard-Bonin, Meursault V.V. 2010

By Steen Öhman August 24, 2012 -

The Meursault Vieilles Vignes 2010 from Domaine Bernard-Bonin is a somewhat disappointing wine. The bouquet seems strangely restrained for a 2010 - with notes of apple and a few hints of orchard fruits. The quite fine minerality is the most promising element in the nose. On the palate - same story - …

Philippe Pacalet, Meursault Perrieres 2011

By Steen Öhman August 21, 2012 -

The Meursault Perrieres is like the village Meursault a quite heavy and "hot" wine. In the bouquet citrus, melon, pear with notes of chestnuts. On the palate excellent minerality and a good acidity. The fruit is quite dense and rich, but balanced with the fine minerality. The alcohol is however a …

Domaine Arnaud Tessier, Le Poruzot Dessus 2008

By Steen Öhman August 20, 2012 -

The Poruzot Dessus 2008 from Domaine Tessier is beautiful and very fine Meursault. In the bouquet fine yellow fruits - melon and citrus, with hints of exotic fruits and a fine tone of oak. On the palate fine quite lush fruit focused by a lovely minerality and the crisp 2008 acidity. Good …
