Domaine Meo-Camuzet

Domaine Meo-Camuzet, Clos de Vougeot 2004

By Steen Öhman June 18, 2012 -

The Clos de Vougeot 2004 from Meo is showing quite mature notes. In the nose spicy sweet pinot aromas with cherries and raspberries. On the palate quite lush og rich with a quite good length. The fruit seems slighly stewed and dense. Lacking some vibrant freshness in the fruit - But still a nice …

Domaine Meo-Camuzet, Vosne Romanee 2006

By Steen Öhman April 6, 2012 - Leave a Comment

The Vosne village 2006 from Meo is not quite as good as the latest vintages. In the nose red and dark fruits - cherries and a hint of strawberries. There are also notes of liquorice and white peppar, and the oak is still quite present in the bouquet. On the palate rather tight, nice pinot fruit with …

Meo-Camuzet, Clos de Vougeot 2003

By Steen Öhman April 5, 2012 - Leave a Comment

By Steen Öhman February 21, 2012 - Leave a Comment

The Clos de Vougout Pres Le Cellier 09 is another encouraging effort from Meo-Camuzet. In the bouquet fine fruit - raspberries, cherries - spicy minerality and a hint of liquorice. On the palate very focused with a good minerality, acidity, length and balance. Good vibrant freshness in the red and …

Domaine Meo-Camuzet, Vosne Romanee 2009

By Steen Öhman January 12, 2012 - Leave a Comment

Both the 2007 and 2008 Meo-Camuzet wines seems to represent a change to a more organic and approachable style. The 2009 Vosne-Romanee is another step in this direction, a very fresh and vibrant wine in a year with quite dense and heavy fruit. In the nose red fruits, raspberries, a hint of …
