The Echezeaux 2012 from Cecile Tremblay is a gorgeous effort … her wines seems to get more focused and refined each year. The nose is crammed with asian spices, raspberries, red currant and elderberries … supported by a deep earthy minerality. On the palate rich and forward fruit … juicy with a lovely energy and intensity. The fruit is weighty and vibrant – offering a lovely transparent view to the fine terroir. Very impressive … but first and foremost juicy and delightful. Really like the style

- Visit to Domaine Cécile Tremblay – Tasting the 2021s from CaskWhat a line-up of visits over the last few weeks to taste the 2021s: Cathiard, DRC, Liger-Belair, Mugneret-Gibourg, and now Cécile Tremblay. Despite 2021 being a difficult vintage, most of the producers I have visited have produced exciting, vivid, and elegant wines. This just goes to confirm that I only taste the top 5% or so ...
- Terroir Insight: Cécile Tremblay Nuits-Saint-Georges Les (Aux) MurgersNuits-Saint-Georges vineyards are somewhat overlooked in favour of their more illustrious northern neighbours. Aux Murgers is one of the overlooked gems of the appellation, although the results of recent auctions at the Hospice de Nuits have put this vineyard ...
- Terroir Insight: Cécile Tremblay Vosne-Romanée Les Rouges du DessusVosne-Romanee Les Rouges du Dessus is one of the appellation’s somewhat overlooked 1ers crus – or should I say rather Flagey-Echezéaux, as this Vosne 1er cru is in the neighbouring village. Burgundy can be quite complex, and while there are occasionally some logic and clever rules in certain appellations, in others there are exceptions and special ...
