Even better than last time – the 2010 Blanchot Dessus from Domaine Jean-Claude Bachelet is showing the best sides of Chassagne 1er crus. In the nose pure and airy white and yellow fruit brought forward by a vibrant and citrus infused filligree minerality. On the palate very intense with grand cru like effortless presentation of power and minerality. Its airy and expressive with a vivacious energy that left two Les Pucelles from Domaine Leflaive in the dust. It’s long, intense and powerfull – but nevertheless lightfooted and very refined for a 2010 Chassagne – quite a masterpiece in my view.
(Drink from 2022) – Outstanding – (95p) – Tasted 07/10/2017
