The Latricieres-Chambertin from Faiveley is a magnificent glass … refined, quite delicate offering all the qualities of both the 2014 vintage and this fine terroir. The bouquet offer fine and detailed red and dark berry fruit – variations of cherries, raspberries and notes of red currant – infused with a nice detailed minerality. On the palate generous yet focused – fine balance with layers of filigree fruit on the mid-palate supported by a fine minerality – filigree almost silky – very refined for at Gevrey. What a delightful glass.
