Fabien Coche is one of the rising stars of Meursault. The wines are pure, vivid and with a beautiful expression of the individual terroirs.
This was, however, my first visit to Fabien Coche … and while I have followed the wines for some years … what a miss … clearly an estate I need to visit every year.
The wines speak for themselves …. let them do this … this is a beautiful vintage for the region’s whites.
The white 2024s
Fabien Coche 2024 Blanc
The Bourgogne Aligote 2024 is a pure and clean wine … charming and lively. Not a powerful Aligoté … more discreet and harmonious. I do like it as an aperitif.
Bourgogne Côte d’Or … from 11 parcelt. Has a very good acidity .. lovely tension … lovely lunch wine.
The Auxey Duresses 2024 has a lovely salinity… It’s very elegant and delicate … 12,5% alcohol and 25% new oak like the rest. I really like Auxey Duresses.
