The temperatures are taking a trip around the hopefully last Canicule – currently we are at 37 Celsius. Temperatures will drop on Monday, August 17th, to a still respectable 27 degrees Celsius.
Rain is expected Sunday 16th (thunderstorms), with showers on Monday the 17th: additional rain – let’s see how much we will get.
With the current temperatures, the alcohol levels rise very quickly, and apparently a lot of growers have left the harvest too late, and the same with the planning, apparently.
The state of the grapes requires immediate action in some vineyards – presumably quite many vineyards – but the vignerons don’t have the team ready.
