Burgundy is fascinating, as you can explore the wines of the region for decades and visit the villages for years, and yet some estates are strangely falling outside your scope unfairly.
Domaine Pernot-Bélicard is one such estate … I visited there in 2017, and was impressed … and the good feeling about the wines was never followed up, hence here we are 6-7 years later ,,, reinventing Pernot-Bélicard.
It is embarrassing… so sorry to Philippe Pernot and to the readers expecting more!!!

Domaine Pernot-Bélicard is now a mature estate on my radar. The estate was shaped some years back when Philippe Pernot, from the Paul Pernot family, married the daughter of the Bélicard estate also in Puligny-Montrachet, and took over the Bélicard vineyard portfolio – around 6 ha in total.
Since then wineyards from the large Paul Pernot estate have been dripping down on the Pernod-Bélicard estate ,,, both as metayage agreements and as transfers where the vineuards gets a new owner as a part of the inheritance from the Paul Pernot estate.
Philippe Pernot took over the vineyards, and the first vintage produced was 2009 – but since then, the estate has grown steadily, covering many of the top vineyards of Puligny.

The 2024s from Domaine Pernot-Belicard
Philippe Pernot have like many others, done well in 2024. Wines are all of a high quality, and the phenolic ripeness seems to be good despite the somewhat doubtful weather in the 2024 season.
The wines are on the cooler side, hence delicate and intense with a good concentration without getting into 2020 territory density-wise.
All in all, a lovely vintage for the whites…
Domaine Pernot-Belicard Bourgogne Côte-d’Or 2024
The Bourgogne Côte d’Or is a classic Philippe Pernot wine, cool, classic and pure. Has a delicate fruit, cool and quite intense … very straight and lovely. What can I say … I do like the wines from this estate. Short elevage and 20% new oak.
(Drink from 2026) – Very Good – (87p) – ![]()
Domaine Pernot-Belicard Puligny-Montrachet 2024
The Puligny village is made from the La Rue aux Vauches. Rich and more lively … 35-year-old wines. A lovely Puligny village – textbook in my view.
(Drink from 2030) – Very Good – (90p) – ![]()
Domaine Pernot-Belicard Puligny-Montrachet Noyer Brett 2024
The Puligny Noyer Brett is quite a step up, coming from Noyer Brett, located just below Ensignieres. Very elegant and with a silky texture compared to the more powerful presence of the Ensignieres. A beautiful glass!
(Drink from 2030) – Fine – (91p) – ![]()
