Philippe Pacalet, Corton Charlemagne 2010

The 2010 Charlie from Pacalet is without doubt the best white I have tasted from this producer. Normally I’m a bit ambivalent about this wine .. but this is quite impressive. In the bouquet rich but zappy white and yellow fruits .. notes of pear, apple and white flowers .. spiced with a intense citrus infused minerality. On the palate intense and weighty cool fruit . its long, refined and focused with a lovely juicy and pure fruit – focused by a very fine mineral driven finish.
