I have tried to embrace AI, and as a working tool I understand the concept and the benefits, but as a creative tool and a medium of expressing emotional feelings and qualities … it’s too say it bluntly, a both sick and dangerous way to take.

When I read wine literature and consume wine media stuff, it’s the personal view and the expression made by the writer and creator… not another piece of fully AI-generated content I am looking for.

The AI might on occasion be 100% correct (rarely is with Burgundy topics) … but without the human style, errors and imperfections … it is just like a wine produced in a lab with commercial yeasts and synthetic lees fully filtered and added acidity and tannins! … boring and with no emotional values.

I want to know the person behind the notes and the articles … otherwise, it is pointless to a degree.

The computer could not emulate the Winehog’s lack of character, passion for pointless indulgence and the imperfections … corrosion in the motherboard due to spills of aligoté and juice from the oysters seems to be the likely cause of the AI breakdown.

I do, however, use AI editing tools for proof and similar stuff … thanks to Blair and Jenny for editing through the years … have been great, and I hope that Jenny will still play a role on Winehog in the future.

So fully handheld in the future … and you will have to live with the small imperfections. Errors are also a part of the game … they have been there in the past, and will presumably continue with the same randomness.

After all, the HOG is human, and he does not even pretend to know it al !!!.
