Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair, Vosne La Colombiere 2010

The 2010 Vosne-Romanee Colombiere from Liger-Belair is fullfilling the promise it showed from cask. Quite open and accessible in the bouquet with notes of raspberries, red forrest berries and oak – perfumed with hints of peony rose, cinnamon and asian spices. On the palate pure red cool fruit, refined tannins, fine minerality and a lovely crisp acidity. Quite full bodied for a village wine, very balanced with the 2010 transparancy, zen like refinement and lightness. The oak is currently somewhat forward in the wine, and it needs some time to integrate fully. A lovely village wine.
