The harvest 2026 is going to be very early… and with temperatures beyond 33 Celsius in the coming week, we have another heatwave on our hands.

Heat wave – again
The heat wave will continue into mid-July… most likely pushing the wines even further into the drought. This is getting very severe … very.
Some vineyards are already showing the hydric stress… yellow leaves … in lean terroirs … with shallow soil and steep soil we start to see real and irreparable damage, as the leaves are falling from the vines.
Even on the big Crus, it is starting to look bad in places … I don’t think it will look pretty after 10 more days of heatwave and no rain.
Currently, the first rain is predicted for July 15th … and it better be good!
… I maintain my harvest forecast from May with a start on August 22 in Côte de Nuits and August 15th in Côte de Beaune.
But blockage can influence this … like in 2025.
