Morey-Saint-Denis

Frederic Cossard, Morey Saint Denis Les Mont Luisants 2010

By Steen Öhman February 20, 2012 - Leave a Comment

The Morey Les Mont Luisants from Cossard is a beautiful wine. The nose is very young with a slight reduction. Otherwise very clean and crisp, wonderful minerality, very focused red fruits - cherries, raspberries and a note of gooseberries. On the palate very precise and focused red fruits - crisp …

Georges Roumier, Morey-Saint-Denis Clos de la Bussiere 1990

By Steen Öhman February 16, 2012 - Leave a Comment

The 1990 Clos de la Bussiere from Roumier is fully mature now. In the bouquet very enticing red ad dark fruit, with elements of forrest, truffle and orange peel. On the palate layers of mature red and dark fruit, slightly rustic. Still fresh and lively fruit, good length and balance. Not the most …

Domaine Arlaud, Morey Saint Denis Les Blanchards 2009

By Steen Öhman February 2, 2012 - Leave a Comment

The Domaine Arlaud Les Blanchards is slightly closed. In the bouquet cherry stones, gooseberries, raspberrries and darker notes as cassis. Slightly dusty. On the palate quite tight with a very good focus and grip. Nice acidity for a 2009. Still it has some of the caracteritic 2009 dark fruits. A …

Georges Roumier, Morey Saint Denis Clos de la Bussiere 2009

By Steen Öhman December 12, 2011 - Leave a Comment

The Clos de la Bussiere is normally a quite soft and very pleasent wine, compared to Roumiers more mineral driven Chambolle wines. This was aldo the case with the 2009 edition of Clos de la Bussiere. It showed some raspberry aromas in the bouquet, but otherwise mostly quite dense and dark notes. On …

Hubert Lignier, Clos de la Roche 2002

By Steen Öhman September 20, 2011 - Leave a Comment

The Clos de la Roche 2002 is an excellent effort from Hubert Lignier. Old school Lignier, quite dark aromas, but also some elements of sweet red fruit in the bouquet. No quite ready to drink, but there are some sweet mature notes on the palate, still the darker tones in the fruit are dominating the …
