The 2013 Liger-Belair Clos du Chateau is firing on all cylinders, and is a magnificent wine, currently exploding with Vosne spices and airy, energetic fruit.
It’s very expressive and exuberant, flashing all its scents and spicy notes as a great tribute to Vosne-Romanée.
While not a big wine, it is a true, core expression of Vosne in its essence. I am almost lost for words, and truly delighted. It somehow reminds me of the Bizot Vosne village from 2013, which expresses the same unparalleled Vosne vividness. Simply put, a vin d’émotion.

- Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair Vosne-Romanée 2014Winehog tasting notes from the heart, with no fluff! A vivacious wine for pure indulgence Score 89-90 Drink from 2023 More to say… This is a surprisingly vivid 2014 Vosne, with some slight reduction. Otherwise, it seems quite ready. It will keep, but I somehow like the little bit of reduction.
- Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair Nuits-Saint-Georges Aux Cras 2014Winehog tasting notes from the heart, with no fluff! A truly hedonistic wine – lively and enjoyable Score 91-92 Drink from 2029 More to say… The vivid – but often quite backward – Cras 2014 is starting to unfold, slowly but surely. I’m certain it will remain cool and collected; a true NSG.
