Wine is all about enjoying and meeting people – meeting wine friends, geeks and other festive people in a lovely place like Burgundy is a treat.

Focus should be on enjoyable wines, that being a fresh and simple pét-nat, a lovely Aligoté from Maï Roblin–Bazin or Chambolle-Musigny from Mugnier.

I like to enjoy and meet new people… wine connoisseurs, nerds and geeks… Who like to exchange views on wines and enjoy an interesting wine for lunch here in Burgundy.

I love to spread the word about vin d’émotion… we need wine that will enjoy us and invigorate our palate.

I admit that I am a geek; I love a good glass for lunch once in a while – if this sounds like something that could be fun, or of value for you, let me know.

Winehog Consulting

Lunch can be a nice, informal way to meet, but I also do more formal consulting.

Consulting on a more ad-hoc basis … meetings where we brainstorm or discuss wine in general. This is either free in the right context – you offer a lunch, and we talk … if more meetings are needed, 300 EUR for extra lunches.

I work with importers either directly or via an agent. I do not take commission work – I just do consulting … i.e. advise you on what to buy … and try to help you get the wines you want … if possible.

As always, some vignerons are impossible to get due to demand or sales policy … some are very difficult to buy. I like to say it like it is … when we look at the assignment from the beginning.

I like to help importers to get a good relationship with the producers … and when I can, I do this.

My rate is an initial salary… 1500 – 3000 EUR … to run through your wishes… to see what can be done, i.e. see what I think is possible. When possible, we can think about agents who can actually lift the task.

Next phase is to visit the growers with the agents … I do this for key accounts … meaning we go together and visit growers … this is in the range of 300 – 500 EUR per day.

But let’s start with a lunch!
