The 2026 hope and despair

The dry conditions and persistent burning sun are calling for a last-minute miracle of rain. For the vignerons, these are very enduring times… seeing the hope evaporating with the juice in the small grapes.

On peut dire que cette campagne a été vraiment éprouvante, et qu’à l’heure qu’il est, elle l’est toujours.
La sécheresse continue son œuvre dévastatrice dans nos Vignes, et nous n’avons aucune goutte de pluie à l’horizon.
En dépit de ce contexte morose, je continue d’essayer d’espérer un miracle, et je m’attache à tout ce que la vie peut m’apporter de positif.
Un rayon de soleil qui filtre d’un nuage
Un sourire anonyme
Une parole douce d’un ami
Un vol d’hirondelles
Une brise parfumée
On s’accroche. On espère. On prie.
Cela fait partie de notre parcours de vigneron.
Il nous faut faire preuve de résilience.
De lâcher prise.
2026 est une véritable leçon de vie.
Le Domaine se met en Summerbreak afin de recharger les batteries pour les mises en bouteille des 2025 qui approchent et les Vendanges 2026.
Mais je tenais à vous remercier Tous pour votre soutien en cette période compliquée.

It is fair to say that this season has been truly grueling—and, as things stand, it still is.
The drought continues to wreak havoc on our vines, with not a drop of rain on the horizon.
Despite this bleak situation, I keep hoping for a miracle and hold fast to whatever positivity life offers:
A ray of sunlight breaking through the clouds
A smile from a stranger
A kind word from a friend
A flock of swallows in flight
A fragrant breeze
We hold on. We hope. We pray.
It is all part of the winemaker’s journey.
We must show resilience.
We must learn to let go.
The 2026 vintage is proving to be a real life lesson.
The estate is taking a summer break to recharge before the upcoming bottling of the 2025 wines and the 2026 harvest.
But I wanted to thank you all for your support during this difficult time.
