I have known Domaine de Montille for many years, and have tasted both the classical Montille style practised by Étienne’s legendary father Hubert de Montille … and the more accessible style of Brian Sieve, who has been cellarmaster for the last 15 years and currently is making the wines for Étienne de Montille

The collection of red terroirs was expanded in 2005 when de Montille and Dujac bought large holdings from Thomas-Moillard …

Vineyards like Vosne-Romanée Malconsort is now a prominenent parts of the de Montille estate alongside vineyards on the Corton hill and in Pommard and Volnay.

Domaine de Montille Bourgogne Rouges 2023

The Bourgogne Rouge is rich and quite intense for this level. 33% whole cluster gives a good liveliness … enjoyable and very drinkable. The Bourgogne Rouge is from the Volnay area.
