By the glass – Bérèche et Fils Brut Réserve

By Steen Öhman August 3, 2026 -

To find Bérèche et Fils Brut Réserve as a by-the-glass wine at the local restaurant (Cabotte) on a hot summer-day lunch is an unusual treat. Bérèche Brut is a bit on the rich side (6 gr/L) but with a lovely freshness and delightful tension. This bottle was tasted as a nachspeise .... Two glasses …

By the glass – Domaine Ott Romassan 2023

By Steen Öhman August 3, 2026 -

Rosé is the drink of the summer ... and especially the summer of 2026; cold drinks are needed. Some are too fine and classy to drink a rosé; others love it, if it's good enough. Pet’nat’ Chapuis & Chapuis Pétillant Naturel 24

By Steen Öhman July 29, 2026 -

By the glass – Garnier et Fils Chablis 2024

By Steen Öhman July 22, 2026 -

Rich for a 2024 and borderline too ripe phenolicly. Lacks freshness and the flavors are darkish and a bit dense with a hint if sweet notes. The terroir is not winning any poits it seems ? Why not make mais and not wine. Chablis should be fresh and vivid in the 2024 vintage … this is kind of tedious …

Visit to Domaine Roulot – Tasting the 2024s

By Steen Öhman April 12, 2026 -

The 2024 vintage, with the low alcohol and the lovely transparent and airy fruit, is a wonderful treat. The pheenolics are ripe ... just ripe ... with a cool note. Most of the wines have almost optimal phenolics ... close to... and this is in my view a tremendous opportunity for getting a great …
