Wine Festival in Copenhagen

By Steen Öhman April 21, 2012 -

This week the Danish importer Domaine Brandis made a very nice Wine festival in Copenhagen, where a lot of his producers presented wines from recent vintages. For me these Wine festivals are a good chance to taste and retaste the last vintages, and to taste some growers I don't taste …

Arnaud Ente, Meursault La Seve du Clos 2004

By Steen Öhman March 4, 2012 -

The La Seve du Clos from Arnaud Ente is a special wine made from a plot of very old vines on the village vineyard En L’Ormeau Clos, located just below the town center of Meursault. The 2004 edition of this wine is a fine combination of a good village terroir and a deep ripe and complex fruit of a …

Antoine Jobard, Meursault En La Barre 2009

By Steen Öhman February 18, 2012 -

The Meursault En La Barre 2009 from Antoine Jobard is a quite impressive effort for the vintage. On the palate good acidity for a 2009, a quite dense fruit lacking a …

J.-F. Coche-Dury, Meursault 1999

By Steen Öhman February 5, 2012 -

The 1999 Meursault from Coche-Dury is now entering a semi mature stage. Somewhat closed bouquet, with notes of citrus (orange, grapefruit) and hints of fresh almonds. On the palate quite rich with aromas of almond, honeysuckle and hints of citrus. Good acidity, balance and length. A very nice effort …
