Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair, Vosne Clos du Chateau 2006

The Clos du Chateau 2006 is somewhat closed at the moment. In the nose rather dark fruits, raspberries, dark cherries with hints of oak, allspice and dianthus. On the palate fine rich 2006 fruit, quite loosely knit for a Clos de Chateau. While this is a village wine, it quite intense and concentrated – could be enjoyed after tasting Mazis Chambertin 2006 from Roty. It’s enjoyable now, but five years more in the cellar will increase the complexity, and show more of the fine terroir. Full maturity will be reached after 2020.
