The Morey-Saint-Denis Les Crais-Gillon 2014 from Domaine Odoul-Coquard is made from a village plot located below RN74.The nose offers red and darkberry fruit – raspberries, cherries, plum – spiced with a earthy minerality. The oak is slightly forward currently, but with some airing it integrates well. On the palate lovely deep and juicy fruit, quite generous and transparent with a deep earthy minerality. A classic Morey-Saint-Denis village … drinking well.

- Vins d’Emotion: It’s About Love, First and ForemostEnough is enough. I’m tired of producers of average Burgundies charging extremely high prices. While wise producers like Joseph Drouhin have decided to lower prices significantly (15% in many cases – bravo!), others are apparently continuing the suicidal policy of increasing them even further. Drouhin lowering its prices is a strong signal that the current ...
