Back in Burgundy!
The 2019s from Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé are truly extraordinary. I was therefore thrilled with the opportunity to re-taste the two top cuvées just before bottling,
It’s always a delight to visit Jean-Luc Pepin at de Vogüé and taste the wines with winemaker François Millet. Knowing him quite well after many years of tastings, I could see the smile on his face and hear the tone in his voice. The 2019s are most assuredly a huge success for this estate.
And just to confirm: I have tasted the de Vogüé wines almost every year for more than 20 years, and have never before experienced such vivid, energetic wines.
