Th Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er cru Les Vignes Rondes 2008 from Domaine Mugneret-Gibourg is very typical for the vintage. In the nose crystal clear pinot fruit with cherries, cherry stones and a delicate minerality. On the palate quite sharp, with pure pinot flavors, and a quite powerful acidity. Good midpalate concentration. Quite precise with good length – juicy – but need time to soften. A lovely classical Burgundy … will be delightful when it get some mature and sweet notes.
(Drink from 2018) Very Good 90p

- Terroir Insight: Domaine Mugneret-Gibourg EchezeauxI have a soft spot for the wines from Mugneret-Gibourg. They have a classic stance and gives serious hedonistic delight.
