Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair, Nuits St. Georges Aux Cras 2008

The 2008 Nuits-Saint-Georges Aux Cras 2008 from Liger-Belair is a gorgeous wine. The nose is perfumed with red berry fruit, violets, rose petals and a discrete hint of oak. On the palate quite tight and focused fruit. It’s transparent and long driven by the vibrant 08 acidity and the quite powerful minerality. Really love the purity of the 08s …. the racy acidity … the lovly mineralic tension. The 08s can be quite demanding wines …. but they are also very rewarding for the true fans of classic Burgundies.
