Grands Echezeaux is quite a big step up in quality and weight from the otherwise lovely Vosne-Romanee Les Petits-Monts. In the bouquet layers of pure red and dark berry fruit served with a deep filigree and earthy expression of terroir. On the palate quite large scaled with layers of relatively openly knit fruit – classic Grands Echezeaux. Offer a true grand cru experience … with a high drinkability.

- Visit to Domaine Robert Sirugue – tasting the 2020sI visited Domaine Sirugue for the first time back in 2014, and while the wines were showing well then, I think it’s fair to say the quality has improved significantly in subsequent years.
