The Vosne Romanee 2011 from Sirugue is a nice little village wine. The nose is slightly closed but showing crisp fruit, hints of Vosne spices, liquorice and oak. On the palate quite fresh and crisp fruit – well balanced and forward. It’s offering Vosne-Romanee character at a quite reasonable price, but is lacking some concentration to match the better village wines from this appelation. I quite like the style and the drinkability … but the yield is in the high end – a Vosne village for pleasure only.
(Drink from 2017) – Good (85p) – Tasted 04/09/2013.
