Domaine Jean Grivot, Vosne-Romanee Aux Reignots 2007

The 2007 Aux Reignots from Grivot is a delightful effort – and a rare bird – only around one cask produced each year. The nose is quite open and expressive with red and darkberry fruit spiced with violets and a forward minerality. On the palate lovely cool medium weight fruit … forward and openly knit … with a lovely mineralic drive. A very balanced effort with fine transparency and display of the terrific Reignots terroir.
