Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair, La Romanee 2008

The La Romanee 2008 is very expressive and floral – a exiting La Romanee as it’s a vintage very much structured and driven by the acidity. The bouquet is offering a juicy organic red fruit spiced with a multitude of Vosne spices .. violets, peony rose, cinnamon and allspice. On the palate very juicy fruit, nice midpalate weight for the vintage – very energetic acidity and a lovely minerality. Love the expressive nose and the very vibrant acidity driven fruit … very typical for the vintage. Quite forward now, and will provide excellent drinking over the next decade and even longer from this format. A treat to enjoy this wine.
