The Harvest 2026 has started … and did so before this weekend, i.e., August 6th or 7th, and with a harvest of Folatieres in Puligny-Montrachet on August 8th.

Furthermore, there are rumors of the harvest of small plots of Pinot Noir in Côte de Nuits … so in reality, the big harvest chaos has started in the whole of Burgundy.

This is no doubt a clear record … confirming the worst fears of Global warming! May God have mercy on our souls.

To speak about quality is very premature, as it will no doubt be very variable depending on viticulture, harvest time and the trickery in the cellar – and last but not least luck. But let me say this – it doesn’t look promishing!

Remarks like …no juice, quite “plastic” (plastic like feel) not really ripe visually but sugar there … is not leaving high expectations!

Yields look to be very small … as the grapes are small with very little juice …
