The vintage 2025s emerging at Ledy Vins

I have already tasted some 2025s, and now the big tasting season starts, with plenty of tastings that runs through the fall and the winter.

The expectations are already very high, as the 2025 vintage offers a tremendously high quality – and especially the reds look to provide truly magnificent drinking. Even the whites seem to offer very enjoyable drinking,,,

I have really been looking forward to the 2025s – a vintage with very few problems and issues – a vintage where focus can be on enjoyment and delight,

Ledy Vins – a new estate

Ledy Vins is a new, exciting estate in Nuits-Saint-Georges. 2023 was Aurélie’s first vintage, and now we have the 2025s in the oaks, and the first wines are already bottled.

The level of creativity and the energy charge coming from this small domaine is flabbergasting – and leaves the followers and even friends of the Domaine almost out of breath.

Aurélie musters amazing energy in this male-dominated and very conservative Burgundian wine world.

Being a Nuiton myself (a very new Nuiton) – I have found that Nuits-Saint-Georges is perhaps not the most dynamic and open-minded place in Burgundy, and this just underlines the talent and persistence Aurélie has … truly impressive and presumably not without its battles.

Aurélie is a fantastic driving force with a lot of talents and abilities, and it is impressive that she maintains the link between the wines and the artistic expression of the labels and the other communication from the estate. This is a big task to take on while making the wines and building the estate around the new wines.

In 2025, Ledy Vins has continued the close link between wines and label design that was introduced in 2023 … so more visually striking labels in the 2025 and even in the new 2026 vintage.

The Ledy Vins 2025s

Aurélie has just done the 2026 harvest and finished the decouvage of the last cuvees ,,, and now the bottling of the 2025s has already started with the Aligoté and the light Pinot Noir “la Pocra 2025”, a delightful summer wine.

It is a busy life being a vigneron!

In November, the rest of the 2025s are bottled … and already now there are some exciting surprises.

The biggest surprise is a Corton-Charlemagne 2025 from the attractive Pernand side of the Corton hill. The Pernand side faces more west and thus is cooler and more vivid than the southern Aloxe-Corton plots and the Ladoix sections facing east,

The Corton-Charlemagne is a classic white Corton with the fine acidity embracing the rich 2025 fruit … it is balanced and refined, with a nice reductive note from the Pernand location giving it grapefruit notes to enhance the balance to the rich 2025 palate. A very exciting Corton-Châlemagne.

The two aligotees will continue – one – the Savigny-lès-Beaune is already on the market, as it was bottled in the spring.

Aurelie will continue with her red Corton-Maréchaudes in 2025 and has added a new Morey Saint-Denis and will continue with the Chambolle-Musigny … two exciting cuvees.

Impressive that this young estate already has two Grand Crus in the lineup … wow
