Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux, Romanee-Saint-Vivant 2006

The Romanee-Saint-Vivant from Arnoux-Lachaux is made from a 0.375 ha plot in the southern part of the vineyard – just above the garden of Bernard Gros and just north of La Grande Rue. The 2006 edition is a lovely effort for the vintage and showing well currently. The bouquet is quite expressive with dark and red fruits – cherries, raspberries and boysenberries – spiced with peony rose and a slight hint of roasted coffee. On the palate very fine intense fruit – pure and focused for the vintage – lovely filigree refinement showing the delicacy of this fine terroir. The oak is well integrated – and with 5 years of additional cellaring it will unfold even more spicy complexity. A lovely RSV and a very fine 2006
