Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux, Romanee-Saint-Vivant 2014

The Romanee-Saint-Vivant from Arnoux-Lachaux is made from a 0.375 ha plot in the southern part of the vineyard – just above the garden of Bernard Gros. The 2014 vintage is one of the first made by Charles Lachauax so stylewise this is made with a lighter hand. The bouquet offer beautifully spicy fruit – fresh red and dark berries – with a healthy dose of Vosne spices and some Asian seasoning. On the palate rich and weighty for the vintage offering layers of juicy fruit – it’s long and intense with a fine expression of terroir – offering true Grand Cru level. The oak is slightly forward but will no doubt integrate well in a few years – still a hint of the old style here. An Outstanding RSV in the making.
